An investigation has been opened into an incident at Cork Airport this afternoon after the nose-wheel of an aircraft collapsed upon landing.

Two people were on board the light training aircraft when the incident occurred at about 3pm. There were no injuries in the incident.

The airport's two runways were closed for a period of 30 minutes.

One inbound flight was diverted as a result of the closure. Normal operations have now recommenced.
