Matt Holland has claimed he is unaware of the speculation regarding his future and that he remains committed to Ipswich Town.

Matt Holland has claimed he is unaware of the speculation regarding his future and that he remains committed to Ipswich Town.

Aston Villa are the latest in a string of clubs linked with the Republic of Ireland midfielder since the World Cup and manager Graham Taylor has admitted inquiring as to his availability.

But Holland has said he knows nothing about any possible move and is concentrating on preparing for life in Division One with relegated Ipswich.

"To be honest, I only know about the stories from what I have read in the media," he told the club website. "There was always going to be speculation about the future of some of our players here after we were relegated and it's been well reported that the club do need to sell players.

"We will have to see what happens in the future but all I'm concentrating on now is getting ready for Saturday and Walsall".
