The most famous crossing of Dublin's River Liffey, the Ha'penny Bridge has been re-opened today after being closed for refurbishment.

The bridge was closed last March because it was feared that it was close to reaching a stage where it could no longer safely carry the daily load of people that cross it.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Michael Mulcahy, conducted the official re-opening ceremony.
