Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized by gardai in Carlow. Officers discovered 20kgs of cannabis herb along with a small quantity of cocaine in a house at Kernanstown, Bennekerry yesterday.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene was detained at Carlow Garda station under Section 2 of The Drug trafficking Act. He was later released without charge.
A garda spokesman said a file will be prepared for The Director of Public Prosecutions.
"The street value of this seizure is believed to be in the region of €150,000, depending on an analysis of the substances seized," he added.
