Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information on Philip Cairns 17 years after his disappearance.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information on Philip Cairns 17 years after his disappearance.

Philip was 13 when he went missing from his home on Ballyroan Road, Rathfarnham, on October 23rd, 1986.

He left his home at 1.30 p.m. to return to school after his lunch break but never arrived at the school. Despite massive publicity at the time and since, as well as the Garda investigation, Philip, who would now be 30, has not been found.

Gardaí want anyone who may have information on the disappearance or his whereabouts to contact the Rathfarnham Station at 01-6666500 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111.
