Four teens arrested with sawn-off shotgun in Cork

Gardai in Cork are questioning four teenagers after they were found carrying a loaded sawn-off shotgun last night.

Gardai in Cork are questioning four teenagers after they were found carrying a loaded sawn-off shotgun last night.

A Garda spokesman said two boys aged 16 and 17, and two girls aged 16 and 19 were found to have the gun concealed in a bag at Knocknaheeney Avenue in Cork city at 4.30 a.m.

They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. It is not clear why they were carrying the gun.
