Four suspected dissident republicans are being questioned by police in Northern Ireland after a rocket launcher and warhead were seized in a sting operation.

The armour piercing anti-tank RPG22 was seized by police in a staunchly republican housing estate in Coalisland, Co Tyrone. The launcher was found about 20 metres from the back of houses.

Police say its discovery has saved lives, though the find has increased fears of a renewed offensive against the security forces by dissidents.

The four men were arrested at the scene after what police described as an "extremely significant" seizure.
