Four flights bound for Dublin from Britain had to be diverted last night due to dense fog which obscured Visibility at Dublin Airport from about 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

An Aer Lingus flight from Birmingham and two Ryanair flights, one from Luton and the other from Leeds-Bradford, were diverted to Shannon Airport. Passengers on the Aer Lingus flight stayed in Shannon overnight and are due to return to Dublin today. Passengers on the Ryanair flights were flown to Dublin later last night. Passengers on a Manx Airlines flight from Jersey, diverted to Belfast International Airport, were driven to Dublin by bus.
