Gardaí are investigating a house fire in Co Galway that left one man dead and a woman injured.
The fire broke out at Gilnockie, Lenereevagh, Barna, Co Galway early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 2.00am.
A 45-year-old man was killed in the fire and his body remains at scene.
A woman (71) was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for smoke inhalation.
They were the only two people in the house at the time.
