A family of three escaped injury when a device was thrown through the window of the living room at their home at Fairview Park in Coleraine, Co Derry.

In Co Antrim, a man and a woman escaped unharmed when a bomb was hurled into the kitchen of their home at Brown's Bay Road, Islandmagee.

Both devices failed to explode and were later dealt with by the British army.
