The High Court has reserved judgment on a challenge by a former RUC constable to an order for his extradition to Britain to face charges of possession of £50,000 of heroin for supply.

Mr Matthew Armstrong (60) from Tempo, Co Fermanagh, who has lived in the Republic since 1992, has denied in an affidavit that he is guilty of any offence relating to the possession of £50,000 worth of heroin with intent to supply it to another on June 29th, 1992. He is wanted by the London Metropolitan Police in connection with the alleged offence. He is seeking orders quashing a Dublin District Court order for his extradition.
