The US ambassador, Mrs Jean Kennedy Smith, said that the International Body report was balanced and fair and would provide a strong basis for continued negotiations and discussions. She urged all parties to study the report carefully "and to react in a way best calculated to further the peace process". She said the US government was committed to doing everything possible.
