The nursing board, An Bord Altranais, has announced new and more flexible requirements for entry to nursing from next year.

Entry requirements for Dublin City University, the University of Limerick, the National Council for Educational Awards/ Institutes of Technology, Trinity College Dublin and the National University of Ireland will be recognised for entry to nurse training. Until now only candidates who met the NUI's entry requirements have been accepted.
