Employment in private firms in the construction industry decreased by 3.2 per cetn in the 12 months between June 2001 and June 2002, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office this morning.
The monthly employment index decreased from 143.4 in June 2001 to 138.8 in 2002.
Employment decreased by 3.9 per cent in the twelve months between May 2001 and May 2002.
