Relegation threatened Dundalk battled gamely to earn a point against Cork City at Turner’s Cross this aftrenoon.

Martin Murray’s side, who lie third from bottom of the eircom Premier League, started the first half in fine style, making the most of the excellent underfoot conditions.

Dundalk’s best chance of the game came after ten minutes when former Shelbourne striker Gary Haylock struck the post from 8 yards.
