Gardaí confirm package found by man out walking his dog in Co Sligo contains drugs

A man discovered €100,000 worth of ecstasy and MDMA in Co Sligo while out walking his dog, gardaí have confirmed.

The incident occurred at about 12.30pm on October 3rd, when the dog-walker found a package at Glenwood, Ballisodare.

Gardaí were notified and a subsequent search of the package uncovered powder and tablets that have since been confirmed as MDMA and ecstasy.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have visited the area in the days leading up to October 3rd or anyone with information on the find to contact them at Sligo Garda station on 071-915700.
