The Minister for Health, Mr Cowen, has been released from hospital after being detained for two nights suffering from a respiratory complaint. He was admitted to Tullamore Hospital on Wednesday, December 22nd, and was released on Christmas Eve.
A spokesman for the Minister said last night that Mr Cowen had been detained for observation. He added that the Minister will be resuming his duties as usual after Christmas.
