Lazio defender Fernando Couto has been suspended by the
Italian Football League after testing positive for thebanned steroid nandrolone.
A spokeswoman for the league said Couto's suspensionhad "immediate effect", meaning he would miss Sunday'sRome derby against AS Roma.
