AN TAISCE has been given the go-ahead at the Commercial Court to challenge the granting of a foreshore licence for Shell’s Corrib gas pipeline.

In granting leave to bring the proceedings, Mr Justice Peter Kelly described the latest challenge as part of an “ongoing saga” in relation to Shell’s plans to develop the pipeline in Co Mayo. Several cases are pending concerning consents for the pipeline.
