Gardaí and customs officers seized counterfeit tobacco products valued at €500,000 during a raid in Cork last night.

The seizure was made during a warrented raid on a private residence in the city.

Gardaí confirmed this morning that 750,000 counterfeit cigarretes were seized along with 535 kilos of tobacco.

One arrest was made and two vehicles were seized.
