A young woman yesterday told a court how she felt mortified when her breasts were exposed after a dentist started an examination for a jaw condition which he suggested might be the cause of headaches she was having.

The young woman told the trial of Dr John Tait at Cork Circuit Criminal Court how she had undergone breast reduction surgery some time before the incident and was very uncomfortable at the fact that her breasts had been exposed.

Dr Tait (60), Glen House, Upper Rochestown, Cork, yesterday pleaded not guilty to two charges of sexually assaulting the woman at his clinic at St Patrick’s Terrace, Douglas, Cork, in 2006. He said he believed the headaches could be related to a possible case of temporo mandibular joint dysfunction. The case continues today.
