Vote gloat: A politician who assured voters he would rip them off at every opportunity has won a landslide victory in the mayoral elections in the Croatian town of Prolozac.

Josko Risa’s election slogan was “All for me – nothing for you.”

He said he had simply told the electorate the truth. Locals agreed and said now they knew what they we’re letting themselves in for.

“We’re going to get ripped off no matter who takes over. At least he’s being honest and upfront about it,” one said.
