A 54-year-old Co Clare man was killed yesterday morning when his van was in collision with a lorry and a car in Co Limerick on the Charleville Road.
He was named as Mr Francis Slattery, from Kilnasoolagh Park, Newmarket-on-Fergus, who was married with three children.
The lorry driver and the car driver were uninjured. Mr Slattery died at the scene and his remains were removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.
