BIRMINGHAM - A supermarket worker appeared in court yesterday charged with 10 attempted murders after shoppers and staff were stabbed in a knife attack.

Mr Shahid Iqbal (22), of Small Heath, Birmingham, is also accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to two police officers. A shelf stacker at a store in Birmingham, where the attack took place, he was remanded in custody for eight days.
