Members of Compassion in World Farming will be in Brussels today to meet with a representative of the EU Agricultural Commissioner, Mr Franz Fischler, to discuss live animal exports.

Ms Mary Anne Bartlett, CIWF director in Ireland, said they would be putting a case for the removal of EU export refunds on live cattle which fund the trade in Irish cattle to the Middle East and north Africa.
