Bush refuses a reprieve to Beets

Huntsville - The state of Texas executed 62-year-old grandmother Betty Lou Beets, convicted of killing her fifth husband, by lethal injection here early this morning. Presidential candidate Governor George W. Bush declined to grant her a 30-day reprieve. She is the fourth woman to executed in the US since the reinstatement of the death penalty in 1976.
