Britain's economic output fell 0.2 per cent in the third quarter of this year, a smaller-than-expected upward revision from an earlier estimate of a 0.3 per cent decline, official data showed today.
The Office for National Statistics said the revision came as a sharp upgrade to construction output was offset by weaker services and industrial production output.
Separately, the ONS released data on the balance of payments. The current account recorded a deficit of £4.7 billion from a deficit of £4.3 billion in Q2.
