A four-year-old boy has died after falling into a canal near his home in Clonlara, County Clare. It is understood the boy fell into the canal from a footbridge while playing with a friend.
The boy was found a short time later unconscious. He was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital where he died a short time ago.
