FORMER WORLD boxing champion Steve Collins allegedly threatened to put an Albanian bouncer’s teeth “on the floor” before assaulting him, a jury heard at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Mr Collins (42), St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, has pleaded not guilty to assaulting Adrialik Voda at the National Boxing Stadium on June 3rd, 2006.

Seán Gillane, prosecuting, told the jury it would hear how the boxing champion threatened to put Mr Voda’s teeth “on the floor” before punching him in the face when he was refused entry to a stadium VIP section.

Mr Gillane said the jury would hear Mr Collins, known as “The Celtic Warrior”, told the bouncer he had “two seconds to move”, before striking him below the chin, fracturing two of his teeth.
