The body of a man taken from the ESB Ardnacrusha power station headrace at Clonlara, Co Clare, on Thursday evening has been named as Mr Brian Boland, in his 50s, who was well known in the motor trade in Limerick city.

A native of Galway, he lived in Clonlara village and is survived by his wife and six children.
