The bodies of two students have been found with gunshot wounds at a house in Cork city. The bodies are believed to have been there since Thursday.
The 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman are understood to have been from the Fermoy area of North Cork and to have been students at Cork Institute of Technology.
The two bodies were found by Garda´i in a rented house at Cedar Grove in Bishopstown last night. Both are understood to have had gunshot wounds to the head. A Garda spokesman said a .22 rifle was found close-by.
The scene has been preserved for a more detailed forensic examination. A post-mortem on both bodies will take place later today.
