A legal move blocking the DUP from taking further disciplinary action against suspended member Paul Berry was today extended by two weeks.

During a brief hearing at the High Court in Belfast, Mr Justice Weir extended the injunction and ordered Mr Berry's legal team to give fuller replies to four questions in the defendant's notice of particulars.

The Newry and Armagh Assembly member was suspended in July 2005 following a newspaper report about an meeting with a male masseur at a Belfast hotel.

The hearing was adjourned until January 27th.
