Beer to flow in Carlow town

Co Carlow is to get its first brewery

Co Carlow is to get its first brewery. The micro-brewery, to be based at the CIE goods store at Station Road in Carlow town, will go into production in June. First deliveries of the new Carlow range of beers will flow from early July. Initially two beers will be produced: Curim Gold, a Celtic wheat beer, and Molings, a traditional red beer.

There are also plans to introduce a third beer, Curim Dark, which will be semi-filtered on the style of the continental beers. Brewery proprietors are brothers Messrs Seamus and Eamonn O'Hara from Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, Co Carlow.
