Vienna - Austria's EU partners have agreed to maintain political sanctions on the Vienna government, pending a report on its respect for European values, APA news agency reported yesterday.
It said it had been told by the Belgian Foreign Minister, Mr Louis Michel, that the 14 EU states were in basic agreement. Sanctions were imposed in February after the far-right Freedom Party entered government.
