Dublin - The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Andrews, arrived in Algiers last night for next week's Organisation of African Unity summit.

He is to hold a series of bilateral meetings over the next two days with African states in which Ireland has no resident diplomatic missions. It is expected he will discuss Ireland's development aid policy, its contribution to conflict prevention in Africa and its campaign for a UN Security Council seat.
