A tremor shook parts of northern India early today, almost a month after the country's worst earthquake killed at least 30,000 people.There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
An official of the India Meteorological Department said the tremor was caused by an earthquake registering 6.7 on the Richter scale with its epicenter in Afghanistan.
No tremors were felt in Gujarat, however, a meteorological official in the state's main city of Ahmedabad said.
An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale leveled towns and villages across Gujarat on January 26th, injuring thousands and making hundreds of thousands homeless.
