Five people were taken to hospital last night, following a row on a DART train travelling from Bray, Co Wicklow, to Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Gardai estimated that up to 30 people were involved in a fight which was caused, according to one source, by "a combination of sun and alcohol".
Eight people were arrested in Dun Laoghaire and taken into custody for questioning. The injured were removed to St Michael's Hospital, but none of the injuries was reported to be serious.
