A separated man with four children has been jailed for 18 months by Judge Elizabeth Dunne for sexually assaulting his nephew. The 53year-old north Dublin man pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault between June 1998 and April 1999.
Judge Dunne described it as an appalling situation but suspended the last nine months because he had £10,000 in court to give to the youth as compensation.
