Savvy shoppers know that the National College of Art Design graduate show is one of the most fertile hunting grounds for well-priced and unique pieces.
The show opens next Friday at 6pm, at the NCAD campus at 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8. Highlights include Albert, Earnest and the Titanic by Jamie Murphy, a limited edition book using lino-cut imagery with a foreword by Colm Toibín. Handset in metal type, it was printed using ink made with ground pieces from the Titanic wreck. Design student Theresa Burgher’s fierce orange cuff (pictured) is a real call to arms for fashion. The show is open Monday to Friday, 10am-8pm;
Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. It runs until June 17th. Admission is free.
