DUBLIN: Traffic permanently diverted onto re-aligned section of Sandyford Rd where it crosses the M50. Access to Sandyford Village unchanged, but access to Coolkill and Kilcross Estates will be via new access roads.

Main Street Clondalkin from junction with New Rd to junction with Tower Rd closed for construction of South Clondalkin Quality Bus Corridor. Alternative route: New Road, Fonthill Road South, Convent Road.

River Road in Ashtown closed, 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day Monday to Friday.Road widening on Sandyford Rd from Blackthorn Drive to Clonard, 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

Elsewhere northbound lane restrictions on N1 at Walshestown exit. Traffic diverted to hard shoulder and motorists warned to get in lane early. Restrictions at Walshestown exit in Balbriggan heading north. Works move along N1 until Gormanstown. Single lane traffic for approx four kilometres. Traffic restrictions in operation. Expect delays.

KILDARE: Diversion on N4 west of Kilcock. Westbound traffic diverted towards central reserve via a concrete barrier corridor to make room for the new bridge structure. Eastbound traffic will be slightly moved towards hard shoulder. Diversions while bridges on the new Kilcock to Kinnegad ByPass built. Minor delays.

LEITRIM: Road re-alignment on N16 about six miles west of Manorhamilton. Temporary traffic lights, expect delays.

LIMERICK: Restrictions on Rutland Street at Bank Place (N20) for essential work at junction. Delays expected for traffic towards Corbally and Dublin.

WATERFORD: Works and temporary lights on Cleaboy Rd.

WEXFORD: Works on N30 New Ross Ring Road. Stop/go system - delays expected.

CORK: Patrick St one way from Merchants Quay to Grand Parade for refurbishment works. Paul's Place onto Patrick St and Faulkners Lane will be one-way from Patrick St.

City centre northbound buses operating via Grand Parade & South Mall and northbound passengers should use Merchants Quay Bus stop instead of the Patrick St stop.

Shandon Street one-way outbound until March 31st. Liberty St has been reversed to operate one-way from Courthouse St to North Main St and Courthouse Street is closed until 6 p.m. January 30th. Oliver Plunkett Street Lower one way from Clontarf St to Custom House Street. Robert St and Watercourse Rd will remain closed and Marlboro St and Cook St closed until 6 p.m. January 30th.

TRAVEL NEWS: Due to annual refit of the HSS Stena Explorer, Stena Line Dún Laoghaire/Holyhead services suspended until February 12th. No Irish Ferries sailings on continental route until March 5th. Irish Ferries temporary schedule on Rosslare to Pembroke service until 4th February 4th for the MV Normandy. No Irish Ferries Dublin/Holyhead Swift Sailings until January 27th.
