A PROPERTY company headed by retailer John Clohessy has started construction work on a mixed development on a three-quarter acre site which has been used as a surface car-park opposite Frawleys clothing store in Dublin's Thomas Street. The £8 million scheme will include 20,000 square feet of retail space, a 240-space multi-storey car-park and 40 apartments. Larry Brennan of Hamilton Osborne King is quoting rents of £16 to £25 for the retail area, depending on the size of the units which will vary from 2,000 to 10,000 square feet. Mr Clohessy, who runs the Eight to Twelve group, also has interests in Frawleys, which is one of Dublin's most famous stores.
