COULD THIS be the cheapest house in Dublin? Lisney, the agency normally associated with the most expensive houses in the city, certainly thinks so. It is selling 7 Rutland Cottages in Dublin 1 for €75,000.

The one-bedroom house, which measures a cosy 30sq m (323sq ft), is located in a cul-de-sac off Lower Rutland Street, between Summerhill and Sean McDermott Street, in the heart of Sean O’Casey Dublin. According to Lisney, it represents “a gilt-edged investment opportunity for the discerning purchaser”, and it could be “restored to a superb family home”.
