An interesting ready-to-go development opportunity for housebuilders will arise shortly in Celbridge, Co Kildare, when Mountbrook Homes sell 169 house sites with full planning permission. The site has all services available and is located off a new relief road which is due to be completed within the next month. Garvan Walsh of Gunne is quoting £7 million for the land, equating to £41,000 per site for the three and four-bedroom semis and detached houses. Mountbrook has already paid levies of £3,000 on each of the sites. The company is well advanced on a highly successful housing scheme a short distance away at St Raphael's.

In Newbridge, estate agent Paddy Jordan is to sell a housing site beside the Keadeen Hotel which has full planning permission for 85 three and four-bedroom semis with garages and some four-bedroom detached. A figure in excess of £2.25 million is being quoted for the site which goes to tender on March 25th.

In Co Meath, Ronald Duff is quoting a guide price of £400,000 to £500,000 for a commercially zoned site of 1.3 acres in the centre of Ratoath village which goes to auction on February 26th. There is a three-bedroom bungalow on the site.
