Gunne Commercial is seeking offers of around £850,000 for a redevelopment opportunity at the junction of Herbert Place and Bath Street in Dublin 4. Dublin Corporation granted permission for the demolition of two-storey Glenmalure House and a repair workshop and its replacement by 11 residential units. However, An Bord Pleanala subsequently overruled the decision on the grounds that the scheme would amount to over-development. Gunne said that if planning permission was now sought for a smaller development, such as eight townhouses, it might be successful.
