A developer has paid £148,000 at auction for a site of 1,550 square feet at John Dillon Street, between Francis Street and Patrick Street, Dublin 8. The price equates to more than £4 million an acre. There is no existing planning permission on the site but the agents suggest it could accommodate up to three townhouses and six one-bedroom apartments. Agents Hamilton Osborne King had been quoting a pre-auction guide price of £75,000-plus.
