Tesco Ireland is to build a supermarket in Mitchelstown, Co Cork. If planning permission is successful, it will develop a site behind Upper Cork Street, providing an 18,800 sq ft supermarket and four small retail units that will be occupied by independent operators. The £12 million investment will provide 100 new jobs, with a further 300 construction jobs generated by the development, Tesco Ireland said.
