THE liquidator of the Taylor group of companies, which collapsed last year, will ask the High Court today to make the former chairman, Mr Tony Taylor, and his wife, Mrs Shirley Taylor, personally liable for an estimated £1.7 million owed to 16 investors with the group.

The liquidator, Mr Patrick McSwiney, of BDO Simpson Xavier, was appointed liquidator to the various companies within the Taylor Group last August.

Mr McSwiney filed a detailed affidavit which included the application to make the Taylor's personally liable for the monies due to the investors with the High Court in mid April. Mrs Taylor's legal advisers sought an adjournment which expires this morning.

Neither Mr or Mrs Taylor have been seen since the Taylor Group collapsed last August.
