The ESB’s specialist contracting business, Powerteam, has won a contract worth close to €1 million, to install high-voltage electrical equipment at the new Bombardier facility in Belfast.

Powerteam will supply and install the equipment at the facility in Belfast Harbour under a £900,000 (€996,000) deal agreed with civil engineering firm Sisk.

Bombardier plans to build the wings for its new C series aircraft at the Belfast plant.

Powerteam became part of the State-owned ESB group when the latter took over Northern Ireland Electricity.
