Stocks closed sharply lower in Wall Stree on Friday with the Nasdaq plunging 5.35 per cent and the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 2.05 per cent.
The Nasdaq fell 116.23 points to close at 2,052.50, while the Dow was down 223.0 to close at 10,635.1 points.
The broader Standard and Poor's 500 also fell, losing 32.09 points to close at 1,232.65.
"Another negative guidance from Intel kicked off a new selling wave in beleaguered technology, while the February job figures turned out to be strong enough to raise some doubts" about the Federal Reserve's monetary policies, said Larry Wachtel, an analyst for Prudential Securities.
