Multinationals and semi-states to attend Meet the Buyer event at Kildare Expo 2015

Several major multinationals will join semi-state firms in an initiative entitled “Meet the buyer”, organised by the North Kildare Chamber of Commerce.

Intel, Kerry, BAM Group, HSE, Bord na Móna, Maynooth University, and Kildare County Council are taking part in the event to be held on Wednesday, April 22nd as part of the 2015 Kildare Expo.

Chief Executive of the North Kildare Chamber Allan Shine said: "Despite an apparent upturn in the economy, we see on the ground that SME's need support now more than ever. In a recent business sentiment survey we carried out with 230 responders it was very apparent that lack of credit from the financial institutions and a hefty dose of disillusionment with the current Government's knowledge of their plight has galvanised us to create more opportunities for them to drive their enterprise and hopefully create growth and jobs in the process."

He said the Chamber also intends to increase its business development role by partaking in trade missions to China this year and to the US next year to see opportunities and forge new beneficial relationships for its members.

Participants in “Meet the Buyer” at Expo will have the chance to meet potential suppliers and customers and promote their products.
